The Phenomenal Oprah Winfrey

  Who doesn’t know Oprah Winfrey? The host of a phenomenal talk-show, The Oprah Winfrey Show from 1986 to 2011. Born as Orpah Gail Winfrey on January 29 1954 in Mississippi, she was the illegitimate child from Vernon Winfrey and Vernita Lee. Until 6, Oprah lived with her grandmother in their farm. Later, after her mother got a job from being a maid, they lived together with her mother’s 2 other children. Living in poverty made Oprah’s mother work really hard from morning until night. Therefore, Oprah grew into an angry, promiscuous and completely out of control teen. Can’t keep her eyes 24 hours to her children, it brings misfortune to Oprah. Oprah was raped by her relatives who supposed to take care of her while mother is away for working. Until one day, Oprah was pregnant to a baby boy who died 2 weeks after his born. Since then, the baby changed her life and Oprah is decided to move to her father’s house, in Nashville. Living with her father, Oprah became the focus of their home

What Is Covid-19?

I am a student of English Letters Department at Universitas Ma Chung ( https://machung.ac.id ) and this is my work. The whole world is being tested this time. A new type of virus emerged suddenly in China in the late 2019. The unknown case of  pneumonia  in Wuhan was reported to WHO, World Health Organization, in 31 December 2019. It is a very different disease from SARS or MERS. At that time, what cause the disease was still unknown. Until in early January, China government found what might be the cause of this phenomenon. The new virus, Covid-19, might be from a Wuhan traditional market, Wuhan South China Seafood Wholesale Market, which sell various kind of animals for being consumed. The traditional market closed by the local government is 1st January 2020. Covid-19 is a zoonosis disease, animals transmit to human. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings Book Review I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is a novel written by Maya Angelou. Maya Angelou herself is an American author, actress, screen-writer, poet and a civil activist. Besides that, she was the first black San Francisco cable conductor. Maya Angelou was born in April 4, 1928 is St. Louis, Missouri. She spent her childhood in Stamps, Arkansas. Maya Angelou already wrote thirty six books during her lifetime. Maya Angelou died on 28 May 2014 due of her poor health.  I Know Why the Caged Bird Sing is an autobiography that is published on 1969. The book itself is the first from seven volume books. Back then, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings was banned from reading lists in many schools. But, as the time goes by the book itself has been translated into seventeen languages and sold more than one million copies and already allowed to be appear on high school and college reading lists. Agama merupakan suatu sistem kepercayaan atau keimanan seseorang terhadap Tuhan atau juga bias disebut Dewa tergantung bagaimana agama tersebut menyebutnya. Agama diyakini oleh setiap manusia karena agama adalah suatu hal yang akan menjadi landasan manusia selama hidup. Dengan agama hidup seseorang akan menjadi lebih teratur. Jika hidup seseorang teratur, maka hidupnya akan terhindar dari hal-hal buruk. Seperti contohnya, manusia dilarang untuk melakukan zina (melakukan hubungan badan diluar ikatan pernikahan). Hal ini tentu saja dilarang karena memiliki alasan yang jelas. Yaitu, agar seseorang terhindar dari penyakit-penyakit berbahaya seperti HIV/AIDS, syphilis, dll. Seperti yang kita ketahui penyakit-penyakit tersebut dapat menular karena kerap kali bergonta-ganti pasangan.
